The second ODI between India and West Indies ended up in a thrilling tie as Shai Hope hit a boundary off the last ball by Umesh Yadav when five runs were needed by the Windies to win the match.
The match though will be remembered for Virat Kohli’s record making 157*, during which he reached the 10,000-run mark in ODIs in just 205 innings. He also reached 1,000 runs in ODIs in 2018, in a record 11 innings.
MS Dhoni might have been unable to boost the run rate in the end, but was able to hit a massive six during his brief stay in the middle. It brought back memories of his first ever ODI hundred on the same ground against Pakistan in 2005.
In the 38th over, Dhoni took on Marlon Samuels, launching the ball straight over the bowler’s head. What happened next is going viral. MS Dhoni had a sheepish look on his face, as he approached Virat Kohli for a convo mid-pitch.
