Virat Kohli completed 10,000 ODI runs during the second match between India and West Indies. The Indian skipper ended up scoring unbeaten 157 runs at Vizag.

Kohli, vivacious with the bat, has reached that phase of his career where every second innings of him can be record-breaking. Recently, in last two innings, he broke various records. Talking about the most recent one, Virat reached the 10000-run mark before Sachin Tendulkar, which is now the fastest in terms of innings.

Harbhajan Singh congratulated Kohli for his achievements and said, "Big, big congratulations to Virat Kohli, and as an Indian and fellow cricketer, I feel proud for him as he achieves these feats. Beating Sachin's, Sourav's and Dravid's records and with Kohli taking the lead from these legends, shows the caliber of this man."

Harbhajan is impressed with the 29-year-old's dedication and hunger for runs. "Especially for someone who is still young and still hungry for runs whenever he goes out to bat for Team India. He is not satisfied with the fifties, sixties, and seventies, he goes on to score hundreds. 10,000 runs in just 205 innings show the quality of this batsman. Hats off to him, salute to him for his achievements and showing us that if you work hard, nothing can be out of your sight," the out of favor Indian spinner said.

"When he is in the middle, he wants to face the challenges. He understands the game so well, probably better than anyone else. He understands the importance of being out in the middle which can get the team 30-40 runs extra," he added.

In the first ODI, Kohli became the fastest to reach 60 international hundreds. He is also the highest run scorer for India against the West Indies with the most number of centuries against them as well.

Lauding Kohli further, Harbhajan says Virat's strength is he never gives away his high-priced wicket. "He wants to be the guy who is in the middle to finish the innings. The hunger is still there to get runs for Team India. He does not throw away his wicket. Shows his dedication, his dedication, and his passion. In my eyes he is already a legend," Harbhajan said.
