Indian captain Virat Kohli became the fifth Indian and 13th overall batsman to reach the 10,000-run mark in One-Day International cricket here on Wednesday (24th Oct 2018) in the second ODI against West Indies at Vizag.
As expected, Virat Kohli broke a few records in reaching the milestone, as he became the fastest batsman to the mark in just 205 innings, beating Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 259 innings. He also took the least amount of time (10yrs, 67d from the debut) and least matches (213) to reach 10,000 runs mark.
