IND v WI 2018: 2nd ODI – Windies ready themselves to face another Indian batting onslaught at Vizag

India won the first ODI by 8 wickets at Guwahati.

India take on Windies in the 2nd ODI at Vizag | IANS

India and West Indies will face off in the second ODI of the five-match series in Vishakhapatnam. India won the first ODI by 6 wickets, as centuries from Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma outclassed Shimron Hetmyer’s valiant effort, with India chasing down 323 with ridiculous ease.

The caravan now moves to Dr. Yeduguri Sanditi Rajasekhara Reddy Andhra Cricket Association- Vishakhapatnam District Cricket Association Cricket Stadium in Vizag for the second ODI of the series. West Indies has a huge task at their hands given the dominance India showed in the first ODI.

Their batting showed spark with Hetmyer and Powell taking Indian bowling on, which without Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar looked a bit toothless. The spinners did their job, but three fast bowlers fell well below expectations. Windies bowlers, on the other hand, were a completely different story, as they were dismissed with disdain by Virat and Rohit.

Indian bowlers need to regroup with Mohammad Shami looking extremely rusty on his ODI return and Umesh Yadav failing to pick a wicket, the onus was on spinners to do the needful and they came to the party.

West Indies will need to up their game quite a few notches in order to compete with India in Vizag and draw level in the series.
