Young wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant on Friday (October 4) celebrated his 22nd birthday and he will probably never forget the way his teammates made his day special in the Indian dressing room.
However, Pant was not included in the playing XI for the ongoing first Test of the three-match series against South Africa but had an unforgettable birthday celebration in the Indian dressing room after the end of the third day’s play in Vizag.
The pictures from the birthday celebration have been surfaced on social media, where Pant’s face can be seen completely covered with cake.

Meanwhile, the Indian cricket team shared the pictures on Instagram and wished the young batsman on his day. The caption reads: “Happy birthday @rishabpant ????????????”
He has not given the chance against South Africa following his recent poor form across the format as the comeback Wriddhiman Saha was picked ahead of Delhi lad for the first Test on the back of his experience especially on home conditions and form at domestic circuit.
India had a great start of the home season in the longest format of the game as the hosts posted 502/7 in the first innings while South Africa was also in good form as they managed 431 runs in their first innings in Vizag.
