Mumbai and Mumbai Indians cricketer Suryakumar Yadav has earned his maiden call-up to the national side after scoring a truckload of runs in domestic cricket and it now 'feels like home' for him to practice in Indian colors.

Team India is back to practice after the Test series, with days left for the start of the five-match T20I series against England. The Men in Blue have a couple of first-timers in their squad in the form of Suryakumar Yadav and Rahul Tewatia.

While the former was in the fray for a long time, the latter was a surprise pick. Suryakumar Yadav had been performing consistently for Mumbai in domestic cricket across formats and for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL.

He nearly missed out on a spot in the T20I series against Australia a few months back and finally received the much-awaited call-up against England.

After his practice session in the Indian colors, he posted a picture of himself batting in the nets. He captioned it, “Blue, bat and 22 yards.... feels like home

As both Mumbai and Mumbai Indians had blue jerseys and the Indian team too has blue-colored clothing, albeit a different shade, for limited-overs cricket, Suryakumar Yadav felt like home batting in blue.
