Australia's legendary spinner Shane Warne wasn't convinced with England's tactics against India in the first Test. England decided to continue batting in the second innings instead of a declaration despite having enough runs on the scoreboard.

Warne questioned former England captain Michael Vaughan about their decision on Twitter. The Aussie brought India's series win in Australia into the discussion and reminded England that a cautious and timid approach cost them the Border-Gavaskar Trophy.

"What is going on with your cricket team? What on Earth are they doing just letting the game drift? Why aren’t they bowling? England wouldn’t want to not be able to bowl India out now after batting to long in both innings !!", Warne asked Vaughan on Twitter.

Warne pointed out that England are going on the same route as Australia which cost the latter big time. He posted another tweet tagging Vaughan and wrote, ". @MichaelVaughan In Australia India played courageous and brave cricket - was awesome to watch! Australia played timid and cautious cricket & Australia lost the series. England are playing cautious and timid cricket."

Vaughan responded to his first tweet and replied, "If they Win they will have played it well ... if they draw it will affect them for the rest of the Series ... I still think they will win on this pitch."

Warne was clearly baffled by England's decision as they waited to get all-out instead of giving themselves more time to get India all-out. "So you think @root66 is doing the right thing and not declaring? Need more runs? Surely should be bowling now.", he tweeted.

Vaughan was also not too happy with England captain Joe Root's defensive call. "I think he is being get too cautious and is giving India a good chance of getting out of this Test with a draw", he responded to Warne.

England have set a target of 420 in the first Test. With the pitch troubling the batsmen a lot on the penultimate day of the match, it will require a lot of effort from Indian batters to save the match.
