As the excitement builds around the first-ever day/night Test in India, even the players cannot stop themselves from feeling the hype surrounding the historic Test match between India and Bangladesh, which starts on November 22 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

The preparations are not just limited to the Eden Gardens Stadium, the Kolkata city itself is turning pink for the special occasion. City's important landmarks -- the Shahid Minar, the tallest building '42' and some Kolkata Municipality Corporation Parks also were illuminated with pink lights.

A ferry with pink ball illumination was also seen plying on the Hooghly and it will keep making trips between the iconic Howrah bridge and Vidyasagar Setu every evening till the match day on November 22.

The Tata Steel building will have 3D Mapping from November 20, while the Measurers' Club has already turned pink at night and others are set to do the same.

Besides this, a dozen billboards across the city, six LED boards and branded buses will also be seen to further increase awareness and interest about the Test that has already got a mindboggling response, a Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) statement said.

India and Bangladesh have never played in a day/night Test before so it's going to be something new for both teams, hence the players had a net session with the pink SG balls in Indore after the first Test finished inside three days.

Ajinkya Rahane, Indian vice-captain, is also excited ahead of the Test match. He posted a picture on his Instagram account sleeping next to the pink ball, and captioned it, "Already dreaming about the historic pink ball test".

Indian captain, Virat Kohli saw the funny side of the picture and left a cheeky comment "Nice pose jinksy" to which Rahane later acknowledged as well.

India leads the series 1-0 after winning the Indore Test by an innings & 130 runs. With 300 points in their kitty already on the ICC World Test Championship table, the hosts would look to take away 60 more points in their final home Test of the season.
