IND v BAN 2019: WATCH - Fans roast Mushfiqur Rahim with chants of "Do rupay ki Pepsi, Rahim bhai sexy"

Mushfiqur Rahim batted well in both innings with some luck on his side.

Mushfiqur Rahim scored 43 & 64 at Indore in the 1st Test

Indore hosted India and Bangladesh in the First Test and the supremacy of the Virat Kohli-led Indian team was evident once again as they registered a crushing win by an innings & 130 runs inside three days on Saturday (November 16).

Bangladesh won the toss and surprisingly opted to bat first on a pitch that had some moisture and help for the fast bowlers, which Indian bowlers exploited as the visitors were blown away for just 150 runs with Mushfiqur Rahim top scoring with 43 runs.

India in reply, declared their first innings at 493/6 in just 114 overs with Mayank Agarwal scoring a career-best 243, while Ajinkya Rahane (86), Ravindra Jadeja (60*) and Cheteshwar Pujara (54) scored half-centuries.

Bangladesh trailing by 343 runs, failed to put up a strong resistance as they were bowled out for 213 and lost the Test by an innings after Tea on Day 3. Rahim again was the highest scorer for Bangladesh with 64. 14 of the wickets in the match were picked up by Indian fast bowlers, with Mohammad Shami picking up 7/58.

Rahim's match could have looked much different had the Indian fielders held their catches, as he was dropped twice in both innings. To his credit, he battled hard and delayed the inevitable else the margin of defeat could have been bigger.

Indian cricket fans and Rahim go back a long way, as Rahim has often batted well against India. He has two Test centuries to his name against the Asian giants, and recently played a key role in Bangladesh's first-ever T20I win over India in India.

Rahim had also famously tweeted after India lost the T20 World Cup semi-final in 2016, which has never been forgotten by the fans.

Rahim is a wicket-keeper, but is playing as a specialist batsman in the Test series as Liton Das is keeping wickets. While he was fielding on the boundary in Indore, some fans decided to roast him by chanting "Do rupay ki Pepsi, Rahim bhai sexy".
