The Bangladesh bowlers were reduced to mere spectators as the Karnataka batsman recorded his second double ton.

India started the day on 86/1 but lost Cheteshwar Pujara on 54 to Abu Jayed, who also trapped Virat Kohli LBW for a second-ball duck. But then Ajinkya Rahane and Mayank Agarwal, who reached his third Test hundred off 183 balls, came together and added 190 runs for 4th wicket. Rahane slammed 86 runs with 9 fours, before falling to Abu Jayed, who was the most impressive bowler from the Bangladeshi side.

Meanwhile, the hero for the Indian side proved to be Mayank Agarwal, who slammed a career-best 243 runs in 330 balls with 28 fours and 8 sixes. He also equaled the record of most sixes by an Indian batsman, held by Navjot Singh Sidhu, who hit the same number of maximums against Sri Lanka in 1994.

India ended day two on a massive score of 493/6 with a lead of 343 runs. Ravindra Jadeja remains unbeaten on 60 off 76 balls, while Umesh Yadav provided some entertainment with the bat as he slammed 25* runs in 10 balls with 3 sixes and 1 four to his name. His innings was enjoyed by everyone in the dressing room.
