Speedster Deepak Chahar created history on Sunday by becoming the first Indian bowler to pick a T20I hat-trick. He also signed off with the best figures in T20I history to date. Chahar gave just seven runs in 3.2 overs and bagged six wickets.

Chahar's bowling figure overtook Ajanta Mendis' 6/8 bowling record. Before him, Yuzvendra Chahal, the leg-spinner had the best T20I figures for India in T20I. He has also picked six wickets for 25 runs against England in 2017.

After the match, Chahar appeared on Chahal TV for the interview which was posted on BCCI.tv. The host, Chahal, introduced him and said 'bade besharam aadmi ho yaar' for breaking his record of the best figure in T20I for India.

"What do we say in bowling about this man. Aaj mera hi record tod diya, 'bade besharam aadmi ho yaar tum' (Today my record was broken. You are a shameless man). Quite a good feeling. Even if you are sitting at home, you will not think that in a T20I match you will take six wickets, giving away seven runs in four overs," Chahar told his teammate.

Dew made it tough to bowl second for India. But Chahar's experience of playing in Chennai came handy. He revealed how he managed to bowl so accurate despite the dew factor. "Varying pace was difficult because it was a little wet but playing in Chennai, where there can be dew, and you sweat a lot, I have developed a habit of drying your hands with dirt," he said.

Chahar's memorable bowling ensured India 2-1 series victory over Bangladesh.
