IND v BAN 2019: Heartwarming moment when Shivam Dube presented captain Rohit Sharma with his 100th T20I cap

Rohit Sharma is the highest run-getter in the format and has joint most number of fifties with Virat Kohli.

Rohit Sharma smacked 85 runs in 43 balls | AFPIndian captain Rohit Sharma became the first male Indian cricketer to play 100 T20I matches and second overall after Shoaib Malik when he stepped foot for the toss in Rajkot for the second T20I match against Bangladesh.

He celebrated the occasion with a brutal inning of 85 runs in just 43 balls, leading India to an 8-wicket win and equaling the series 1-1 with the last T20I to be played in Nagpur on November 10. Amid all this what went unnoticed was the moment when Rohit was given his 100th T20I cap or more importantly, the person who did it.

No "hard feelings" for Rishabh Pant despite costly error in Rajkot, says Yuzvendra Chahal

Rohit was given his T20I cap by Mumbai all-rounder Shivam Dube, who had made his India debut in the first match of the series. That the Indian team management let a youngster like Dube, do the honors, speaks volumes about the environment in the dressing room. Dube had received his cap by coach Ravi Shastri in Delhi.

Rohit took to Twitter to express his gratitude and said he would always cherish each and every opportunity he gets to represent the country. “Be it whichever format, I’m indebted to have this opportunity to do something for the country. I have cherished all these times and will do so forever,” Rohit tweeted.
