Rohit Sharma, on Thursday (November 8), played captain’s knock to help India level the ongoing three-match T20I series against Bangladesh by winning the second match in Rajkot.

However, the 32-year-old couldn’t fire in the Delhi match, as the Tigers registered their maiden win in India in the shortest format of the game, but he managed to win Rajkot match single-handedly.

The right-hander played a magnificent knock of 85 runs off just 43 balls laced with 6 boundaries and as many as sixes to help the Men in Blue to cross the line inside 16 overs at the expense of just 2 wickets at Saurashtra Cricket Association in Rajkot on Thursday.

After Rohit’s Player of the Match show in Rajkot, Virender Sehwag lavished high praise on the batsman and even he went on to compare him with the god of cricket – Sachin Tendulkar.

In a post-match analysis of the Rajkot T20I with Cricbuzz, Sehwag also said that he has even not seen Virat Kohli score runs at such a ferocious strike-rate like Rohit while citing the example as nobody can play like him, similarly, Indian skipper can’t do certain things like Mumbai batsman.

Sehwag said in the show, “Hitting 3-4 sixes in a single over or scoring 80-90 runs in 45 balls is an art that I haven't even seen Kohli pull off as regularly as Rohit.”

Revealing an anecdote relating to Tendulkar, Sehwag said the master blaster used to tell his India teammates that if he can score runs (in a particular scenario), they must be able to do the same.

He signed off by saying, “Sachin used to tell others if I can do something on the field, why can't you? But he never understood that there's only one God and the sort of things God can do, no one else can.”

Noteworthy, the third and final T20I will be held at Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium, Nagpur on Sunday (November 10). The two teams will also play two Tests starting from 14 November.
