Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) secretary Avishek Dalmiya said on Tuesday (October 29) that there will be at least one hour earlier start to a day's play in India's first-ever Day-Night Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata next month against Bangladesh. 

Usually, a Day-Night One-Day International starts at 2:30 pm in India. 

The CAB is also making an effort to attract a packed audience at the iconic 65,000 capacity ground by offering daily tickets at a price as low as Rs 50.

"One can expect an early start than the usual day/night encounters," CAB secretary Avishek Dalmiya told PTI. "It will not be a 2.30pm start. 1.30pm start would mean the match would get over by 8.30pm and the spectators will return home early."

A final decision regarding the timings will be taken at the behest of BCCI following discussions with the host broadcaster Star Sports. 

"We will send the tickets for printing as we get the timing confirmation from BCCI and broadcasters. We are planning to bring in school children from the districts and local schools and we don't want any inconvenience," Dalmiya added.

"Ticket denominations will be of Rs 50, 100, 150 on daily basis. We will try our best to pull in as many crowd as possible. We hope it will be a success."

The Day-Night Test will have a 20-minute tea break followed by a supper break of 40 minutes which will allow the last one and a half session to be played under lights.
