Another big change that every fan as well as expert appreciated was the addition of wicket-keeper batsman Sanju Samson. The former India opener Gautam Gambhir was so happy with Samson’s addition that the 38-year-old congratulated him on Twitter.

This is well & truly through the gap by @IamSanjuSamson!!! Congratulations on being picked in the T20 squad. Soft hands, nimble feet and hopefully a sane head...go Sanju grab ur moment, long overdue,” Gambhir wrote on Twitter.

When it comes to IPL, the right-handed batsman has 2209 runs to his name in 93 matches with 2 centuries and 10 half centuries to his name. Thus, the 24-year-old Kerala based Sanju Samson will be looking to make his international stats better as he currently has just 19 runs to his name in the only T20I he played for the country.
