India's KL Rahul walked out into a new role when they faced Australia in a must-win game to stay alive in the series. In the first ODI, the team had collapsed despite a steady start to the innings and they could only post 255 on the board.

But this time, Rahul ensured the team finishes the innings on a high note. He smashed 80 off 52 balls and played the role of finisher, something which India lacked lately.

The Karnataka batsman was tried at number three position in the first match and all of a sudden, he had to fit into a completely different position which requires different gameplan. Rahul didn't disappoint and his versatility drew a comparison with India's great Rahul Dravid.

Rahul calls it an honor to be compared with the former India captain. "It's great to be compared with someone like him. I had this comparison for a long time when growing up and playing as well. The names he's Rahul Dravid and I'm Rahul so the comparisons always been there and he's someone I have spent a lot of time with talking about cricket, talking about batting and he's coming from the same state as well (Karnataka)".

The Man of the Match winner of the second ODI at Rajkot said Rahul Dravid has his door open for him to discuss cricket anytime he wants.

"I have the opportunity to go to him or give him a call and talk to him about batting or anything about cricket. So he's been more than welcome," Rahul signed off.
