Team India after quite some time saw their wicket-keeper performing when it matters and also doing good work behind the stumps, for a change in Rajkot on Friday.
India defeated Australia in the second ODI to level the series 1-1. Before bowling out Australia on 304, the hosts scored 340/6 in 50 overs. While India saw their top three getting runs, the one man whose innings caught everyone's attention was KL Rahul.
Rahul was pushed to number 5 in the batting order, which isn't his regular position. But he made gold out of dust and scored 80 runs off 52 balls to help India put up a fighting score on batting-friendly deck.
KL Rahul was donning the gloves in the absence of Rishabh Pant who is out because of injury. Fans didn't miss out on lashing out at Pant despite him not being in the team. They hinted what they want and finally KL delivered it.
