Australia outplayed India in the first ODI at Wankhede, Mumbai and made the contest a one-sided affair. Team India, which got crushed by 10 wickets, looked helpless against the 'mighty' Aussies. There were expectations that it will be a neck-to-neck competition, although the home side showed no fight.

After India's defeat, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly made a tweet injecting confidence in the team. Ganguly wrote he has full faith in the Virat Kohli-led side that they can come back and make the series 1-1 in Rajkot.

India and Australia will play their second match on Friday. The hosts have suffered a blow as their regular wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant is out because of concussion.

But Ganguly feels the team has the potential to step up in pressure, and they had an off day at Wankhede. He wrote, "The next two one-dayers against Australia will be a cracker. This Indian team is a strong team .. just had a bad day in the office .. been in this situation before and have come back to win from 2-0 down two seasons ago ..good luck @imVkohli @BCCI @My11Circle."

In the first ODI, India was bowled out on just 255 and in reply, Australia chased the total down without losing any wickets. Both the Aussie openers, Aaron Finch and David Warner had scored a century each.
