India failed to play up to the expectations in the first ODI against Australia on Tuesday and the fans started to MS Dhoni. The 38-year-old, who hasn't played a single match for India since the World Cup 2019 semifinal, has a huge fanbase who are still hoping for his comeback.

While many think Dhoni will not return to the team ever and has already played his last match, some still believe he may come back.

In the ODI between Australia and India at Wankhede, the crowd chanted Dhoni's name when KL Rahul missed a simple opportunity. It has become very common now. Whether it's Rahul or Rishabh Pant, we have heard the crowd missing Dhoni whenever a minor mistake happens behind the stumps.

Not only wicket-keeping, when the team was bowled out inside 50 overs, some believed Dhoni's presence could have made a difference and India might have scored way more than 255.

The score was below par and Australia chased it down with all 10 wickets in hand, playing just 37.4 overs.
