Indian team met Australia in the fourth ODI of the five-match series in Mohali and with history backing them, took the Australian bowlers to the cleaners.

Virat Kohli won the toss and chose to bat first. India made a host of changes, including bringing in KL Rahul, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Yuzvendra Chahal into the team. The openers of Indian team were blowing cold in the previous three matches, deciding it was time to get back in form and added 193 runs for the first wicket.

Rohit made 95 and Dhawan smacked 143 as India raced towards a total near to 380 runs. Australia bowlers managed to pull things back and it was only due to a cameo by Vijay Shankar, that India crossed the 350-run mark. However, in the last over, India was in danger of being bowled out once again, as Chahal was caught and bowled off the fifth ball by Cummins.

In walked Jasprit Bumrah to face the last ball and everyone expected Cummins to shatter his stumps. However, Bumrah closed his eyes as Cummins bowled a quick ball to him and connect well, with the ball soaring over the long on boundary for a six.

This unbelievable sight was made even better as the Indian captain Virat Kohli celebrated Bumrah’s six with joy on his face and a big smile. Everyone was reminded of the India and Australia match from the ICC Knockout Trophy in 2000 when the no.11 batsman Venkatesh Prasad smacked a last-ball six to the elation of the crowd and the Indian team.
