IND v AUS 2019: COC Predicted Indian team playing XI for the third one-day at Ranchi

The third ODI will be played in MS Dhoni's home town of Ranchi.

Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers in Nagpur | GettyThe Indian team has earned a hard-fought 2-0 lead in the ongoing five-match ODI series with a close win by 8 runs in the second match in Nagpur. The match saw Virat Kohli hit his 40th ODI century and Vijay Shankar proving his worth in the team with a brilliant inning and a match-winning last over.

The Indian team has looked amazing in this ODI series and have come back well after the loss in the T20I series.

With the series on the line in the third match, which will be played in MS Dhoni’s hometown of Ranchi, it will be interesting to see if the Indian cricket team makes changes or decides to go with the same team.

Team COC brings to you, the Predicted Team India playing XI for the third ODI in Ranchi.

Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan are yet to fire in the series | GettyDespite both the openers blowing cold in the first two games, it is highly unlikely either of Shikhar Dhawan or Rohit Sharma may be replaced, though KL Rahul is waiting in the wings. With his brilliant, match-winning century Virat Kohli is expected to continue at number three, despite suggestions for him to move to number four.

Ambati Rayudu, MS Dhoni and Kedar Jadhav failed in the second ODI in Nagpur, with Dhoni scoring a first-ball duck. But given their earlier form and important runs that they have scored in difficult situations, the middle order is more or less likely to remain the same. Also, Kedar Jadhav’s bowling form has been a boon for Indian team with him picking important wickets and keeping the runs down.

Vijay Shankar’s batting form has been amazing and he has put his hand up for an alternative to Rayudu’s number four spot. He has also redeemed himself with the ball with an amazing final over in Nagpur where he defended 11 runs and dismissed a dangerous Stoinis.

The Ranchi ODI might see returns of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra ChahalThe two possible changes in the playing XI may be the return of Bhuvneshwar Kumar in place of Mohammad Shami, who has toiled hard without many breaks. Also, there is a big possibility of Yuzvendra Chahal returning in the team, as though Ravindra Jadeja has bowled economically, he hasn’t been able to pick wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar will partner Jasprit Bumrah, who brought India into the game in Nagpur with two amazing wickets in 46th over of the Australian innings and giving away just two runs in his last 12 balls.
