Indian squad was announced for the limited-overs series against Australia which is starting later this month. There was a couple of surprise for Indian fans.
They were shocked seeing Dinesh Karthik's name missing from ODIs. But more than that, it was KL Rahul's inclusion in the team that stunned everyone. The first question they asked was, 'on what basis he is in the squad?'
The Karnataka batsman was out of form before receiving a suspension for his comments on the talk show 'Koffee with Karan'. Along with him, Hardik Pandya was sidelined from the team, but he was added back to the side as soon as the ban uplifted by BCCI.
Now, despite not a good form behind his back, Rahul has been given an opportunity to prove his worth for the side if he wants to fly to England with the team after Indian Premier League.
India will play the T20I series consisting only two games, starting on 24 February. The team will be led by Virat Kohli.
