Afghanistan suffered a huge defeat by an innings and 262 runs at the hands of India in just two days in their debut Test match at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
After winning the toss and opting to bat first, Indian openers gave a great start to the team, especially Shikhar Dhawan who scored an 87 ball 100 and smashed all Afghanistani bowlers all over the park. Murali Vijay also scored a brilliant hundred- a score of 105.
KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya also chipped in with the fifties and helped to post a total of 474 runs. In response, Afghanistan looked unsettled from the first ball and got all out for just 109 runs in their first Test innings. Even in the second innings, Afghanistani batsmen couldn't put up a fight and got bundled out for just 103 runs, on the same day.

1 - Mujeeb ur Rahman became the first cricketer born in the 21st century to make his Test debut. He is also the youngest player (17 years and 78 days) to take a Test wicket on Indian soil.
