Yamin Ahmadzai, a bright seam bowler as of now, has already gone down in the history books for bowling the first ball of his country's maiden Test. Yamin and the rest of Asghar Stanikzai's men got a first real taste and feel of what it is like playing the toughest and purest format on Thursday and they were clearly nervous.

The team that exemplifies their country's love for this game, had a poor start as Shikhar Dhawan and Murli Vijay cashed on to the anxiousness of the opponent and scored hundreds before Afghanistan came back into the game in the third session with wickets for Yamin himself and his fast bowling partner Wafadar, Rashid Khan and Mujeeb Zadran, as India finished the day at 347/6.

Yamin who has reached this far without too much first-class experience, picked his team's first wicket too.He talked about the match after the day's play at the post-match press conference and said, “I think for a cricketer a Test cap is the most important thing of his career. Same thing for me also. I can’t describe it in words but when we finally stepped on to the ground, we were excited and also nervous. But in the end it was a good experience,”

Yamin said that after the rain delay that prompted an early Tea, their captain Asghar Stanikzai told everyone to be accurate as much they can and don't leak runs in search of quick wickets. He also reiterated that his teammate Rashid Khan had to make an adjustment to the SG ball in the first couple of sessions and that's why was expensive early on against Shikhar Dhawan.

He explained, “All the bowlers were told to stop the flow of runs and not to experiment too much in search of a wicket, In the last session, he(Rashid) tried to bowl wicket to wicket and the ball was also gripping. In the first session, the ball was new and was not gripping at all,”
