Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has to face a tough task before heading to his debut Test against India on Thursday (14 June) when he was asked to pick his favorite cricketer between AB de Villiers and Virat Kohli during a brief interaction with ESPN Cricinfo recently.

South African superstar De Villiers recently announced his retirement from international arena and is considered as one of the greatest cricketers along with Indian skipper Kohli of the modern era.

Kohli and De Villiers both are fantastic batsmen in all formats of the game and are unique in their own ways as well. Therefore, it was a very challenging task for Nabi to pick one of them and even the spinner took some time to declare his final choice.

However, the 33-year-old, who is one of the most experienced Afghanistan cricketers, has named De Villiers as his favorite cricketer, as well as, Sachin Tendulkar when he was asked to choose between the master blaster and the West Indies great Brian Lara.

Meanwhile, the all-rounder has been part of the Indian Premier League since last two seasons with Sunrisers Hyderabad, as well as, part of the many T20 tournaments across the globe likes of Big Bash League (BBL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Pakistan Super League.

However, he feels that the IPL is the best franchise tournament across the globe as compared to other T20 leagues even BBL, in which he plays for Melbourne Renegades.

Nabi also faced another tricky task to pick an aggressive batsman between Chris Gayle and Virender Sehwag and Afghani spinner decided to go with West Indian hard-hitter.
