India will host Afghanistan for the debut Test at M Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru from June 14. This historic Test match will have the eyeballs of the cricketing world from all over the globe, as the exciting Afghan team will enter the ultimate format of the game.

However, in a surprising update to the Test match, the All India Senior Selection Committee has decided to call in Delhi pacer Navdeep Saini as a replacement for the Mohammed Shami. According to reports, “The All-India Senior Selection Committee has named Navdeep Saini as Mohammed Shami’s replacement in the Indian Test team for the upcoming Paytm Test against Afghanistan. The announcement came after Mohd. Shami failed to clear the fitness test at NCA, Bengaluru.”

The players aspiring to play for Team India have to pass the mandatory fitness test including the famous yo-yo Test. The announcement came after Mohd. Shami failed to clear the fitness test at NCA, Bengaluru.

The 25-year-old Saini has played 31 FC matches for Delhi and picked 96 wickets at an average of 25.04 and a best of 6/32. He picked 34 wickets for Delhi in 2017/18 Ranji Trophy season, as he led his team to the finals of the tournament.

The Indian team management has also called in India A fast bowlers Mohammed Siraj and Rajneesh Gurbani to attend the the training sessions of the Indian team and bowl at the Indian batsmen in the nets.
