The matches will form part of the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League and have been rescheduled after the tour had been postponed from May this year,” said a release by the ECB.

With England scheduled to play a three-match Test series against New Zealand, the ODI series between England and Netherlands will be played in the short gap between the second (June 10-14) and third Test (June 23-27) against New Zealand.

As far as the ICC ODI Super League is concerned, England, the 2019 World Cup winners are on top of the Super League standings with 95 points from 15 matches, including nine wins, five losses and one no-result match.

The three-match ODI series will be the first bilateral series between England and Netherlands, as the two teams have locked horns in ODIs in the 1996, 2003 and 2011 World Cups, with England winning on all three occasions.

Apart from the Netherlands tour, England will also be hosting India and South Africa for three ODIs and as many T20Is. There is also a possibility of a one-off Test match against India since the fifthe Test match of 2021 Test series in Manchester was called off due to fears of Covid-19 outbreak in the Indian team.
