Former Pakistan cricketer Salman Butt has slammed the Pakistan cricket team after their humiliating defeat against England. The inexperienced England side had 5 debutants in their playing eleven for the first ODI.

England defeated Pakistan by 9 wickets and it was a completely one-sided win by the hosts. Pakistan got bowled out on a low score of 141 runs and England chased it down in the 22nd over after Dawid Malan (68*) and Zak Crawley (58*) posted an unbeaten partnership of 120 runs for the second wicket.

Despite a poor outing in the first match, Pakistan captain Babar Azam told his teammates not to worry and focus on the comeback in the next ODI. "Ghabrana nahi hain (no need to worry)," said the Pakistan captain in the press conference.

Butt reacted to Babar's statement in the presser and said that no one is getting scared but such performances leave fans and followers disappointed.

"What else can the captain say? Captain's body language wasn't great. He was looking down and there was nothing calming in his answers. 'Ghabrana nahi' is a term that is being used these days but nobody is getting scared, people get disappointed," he said.

The 36-year-old also slammed the team management and players for focusing more on social media and events instead of cricket. "The entire focus is on social media, gatherings, and events. They are putting birthday videos and creating some event or the other and putting up videos. The focus should be on cricketing matters which should lead to victories," Butt said.
