Cricket Icon Sachin Tendulkar congratulated England on winning the five-match Test series against India, as well as, named Sam Curran as the biggest find for the three Lions, calling him a smart-thinker.

The 20-year-old is the biggest find for England this season, as the pacer was one of the key players who played a crucial role in team’s series win against India; especially in those matches where the tourists were close to win but he turned the matches in favor of hosts.

The all-rounder hogged the headlines for his outstanding show in the first Test, as Curran single-handedly took the game away from India at Edgbaston by taking five wickets along with his counter-attacking innings of 63 to help England to register a memorable win against the tourists.

Curran was then dropped for the third encounter following his less impressive show in the second Test, but he returned with a bang on the fourth Test at Southampton, where he scored 78 in the first innings with 1 wicket and then added 46 in the second to clinch the match and the series for England.

In the final Test, Curran took three wickets but was not much impressive with the bat contributed only 21 runs in England’s win over India at The Oval. Sam adjudged man of the series from England for his all-round performances in the Test series at home.

Meanwhile, Tendulkar also congratulated Alastair Cook on finishing the international career on high with a Test century in his final appearance for England.

He wrote on Twitter, “Congratulations, @englandcricket on winning the Test series. #AlastairCook, wishing you an even better post-retirement innings. #SamCurran has been the standout player of this series. Smart thinker. #ENGvIND
