ENG v IND 2018: Cricket fraternity lauds Rishabh Pant for his swashbuckling maiden Test century

India wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant exhibited immense skill and patience to notch up his maiden Test century during the final day of the fifth Test against England at The Oval on Tuesday (September 11).

During the post-lunch session, Pant alongside KL Rahul dominated the English attack. In particular, Pant went berserk and scored 89 runs in the session to complete the landmark. He reached the coveted three figure mark with a huge six off Adil Rashid in the 74th over.

Rishabh Pant hit 14 boundaries and three huge sixes in his 117-ball ton. He stitched a partnership of over 150 runs and give the visitors a glimmer of hope heading into the third session.

Pant made his Test debut in the ongoing Test series at Trent Bridge. On his debut innings, the 20-year-old had clubbed Rashid for a maximum on his very second delivery.
