ENG v IND 2018: Sanjay Manjrekar takes a subtle dig on Indian coach

Manjrekar was in commentary box when he made the comment.

Fans aren't really impressed with current Indian head coach Ravi Shastri and when Sanjay Manjrekar tried to take a dig at the change in coach, fans were into splits on social media.

Indian team asked for a new ball during the third day of ongoing Test when England was batting in their second innings. But soon they requested the umpires to switch back to the old one as they didn't like it.

Manjrekar, who was in the commentary box, came up with a quirky remark that was hilarious. He said, "India asked for a replacement ball, didn't like the new ball, asked for the original ball again... a bit like the coach situation in the last couple of years."

Harsh Bhogle, who was commenting on the game alongside Sanjay, seemed impressed with his mate. He asked the former Indian captain to continue, but Manjrekar decided to stop it there.

That subtle dig at the change of Indian coaches was liked by the Indian fans, which is very unusual as they usually attack Manjrekar for his mediocre commentary.

Shastri was Indian team director before Anil Kumble became Indian coach, but a rift between Kohli and Kumble brought Ravi back as coach.
