Indian opener Shikhar Dhawan seems to have frustrated the fans who are waiting for a good knock from him in overseas conditions. Players who haven't performed in the series aren't looking the last Test as a dead rubber. It's an opportunity for them to not completely put themselves count out of selection contention.
But the things aren't really working in Dhawan's way with English bowlers bothering him with the moving ball. He was dropped after the first Test and team management was criticized by the critics for not giving him a long run. But even after assuring him a place in the team, Dhawan hasn't returned the favor.
With a high scored of 44, the left-handed opener has failed to impress. He scored just 3 in the first innings of the fifth Test and that irked the Indian fans on Twitter.
Dhawan's score in this series is 26, 13, 35, 44, 23, 17 and 3 the most recent one. When team India needed the Delhi batsman to give them a platform and shift the momentum of the game back towards them, he couldn't live up to the expectations. Here is how the fans responded to his another failure:

The next time Shikhar dhawan slaps his thigh on a Cricket field, an equally swift kick should be delivered to his posterior. Chutiya. #ENGvIND

Does anyone need more convincing Shikhar Dhawan will never be a red ball player in conditions outside the subcontinent? Please he shouldnt play West Indies and score hundreds and get to play Aus again!!
