Having announced his retirement from the game at the highest level, Alastair Cook, it is understood, is considering an offer to do commentary for a series at the start of next year.

Cook, who is retiring from Test cricket at the end of the ongoing Oval Test against India, according to ESPNcricinfo, is in discussion with TalkSport to join their commentary team for England's tour of the Caribbean in 2019.

The TalkSport not only won the audio rights for England's winter tours to Sri Lanka and the Caribbean, they've already roped in famous cricketing personalities like Mark Nicholas, Darren Gough, David Lloyd and Jarrod Kimber as part of their elite commentary team and now, wants to have Cook on board too.

The TalkSport are also likely to be awarded the rights for England's tour of South Africa in 2019-20, with the famous broadcasting platform BBC having already won the rights to men's as well as the women's Ashes and ICC events for the United Kingdom territory.

No final decision has been made regarding Cook's availability as a commentator, though.
