Alastair Cook is featuring in the last match of his illustrious Test career against India at The Oval. For all his contribution towards England cricket, Cook is deservedly receiving all the praise from his teammates, former cricketers and fans.

However, James Anderson, a longtime teammate of Cook, has paid tribute to Cook in a very different way. Anderson called the southpaw a 'Bore Off' and said that he should have 'retired two years ago'.

Obviously, it was all staged as Anderson pretended that the video recording was over when he ranted about Cook.

Anderson first said: “Congratulations mate, it’s been a right laugh. Well done pal."

"That’ll do. Don’t even like the bloke anyway. All he bangs on about is farming this, farming that. It’s lambing season. Who cares mate? Bore off. He should have retired two years ago,” he added while pretending to think that the camera is off.

Meanwhile, Cook played a knock of 71 in England’s first innings at The Oval. The left-hander shared a 60-run opening stand with Keaton Jennings (23) while he forged a 73-run partnership for the second wicket with Moeen Ali (50) to put England in a strong position at Tea.

However, India made a resounding comeback in the third session to reduce England to 198/7 at Stumps. The visiting bowlers hunted in pairs to claim 6 wickets in the final session. While Ishant Sharma took 3 for 28, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each.
