India opener Shikhar Dhawan rarely misses a chance to show off his bhangra skills, whether it is on the cricket field or at some function. On Friday (September 7), the southpaw moved his legs during the opening day of the fifth Test between England and India at The Oval.

After struggling for two sessions, Indian bowlers made a resounding comeback in the third session to reduce England to 198/7 at Stumps. Although England got off to a brilliant start and were placed at 133/1 at one stage, the visiting bowlers hunt in pairs to claim 6 wickets in the final session.

Seeing the way bowlers pulled things back, Dhawan cherished the moment by dancing on crowd’s tunes. There were a bunch of Indian supporters right behind where Dhawan was fielding and coincidentally there was also the beat of drums to bring the ‘Bhangra’ out of the southpaw.

Here’s the video:

For India, Ishant Sharma was the stand-out performer. The lanky pacer scalped 3 for 28, while Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja picked up two wickets each.

Alastair Cook, who is featuring in his last Test, was the highest scorer in the innings for England. Cook scored 71 and put on a 60-run opening stand with Keaton Jennings (23), whereas he forged a 73-run partnership for the second wicket with Moeen Ali (50).
