Indian cricket team couldn't come good against England at Southampton and that sealed the series for the hosts. They currently have an unbeatable lead of 3-1. With one more series defeat overseas, fans were upset and went on to lash out at the cricketers.

The Indian cricket followers were further irked when they saw cricketers having fun after the defeat. Instead of backing and supporting the cricketers to move on, fans seem to have not accepted the defeat yet. They were harsh on Indian cricketers, especially Shikhar Dhawan who shared the post.

"Crazy boys and non-stop fun @hardikpandya93 .. With a priceless @rishabpant expression ????," he wrote posting a photo. But after seeing a negative reaction from fans. He posted a comment and wrote, "People who have been writing negative stuff. We are also hurt d way u guys are. It is important to learn from our mistakes and move forward. We give our best for d nation evrytime when we walk on the ground and the most important thing is as team we should be in good mindset before the next game. We cannot change d past. So we do our hard wrk at ground as alwys nd keep our process strong. After practice important to laugh nd be happy so we create positivity in d team. Thats what champions do. Easy to be happy when winning. Warriors stay positive when things are down too. Thanks to d fans who still supporting us !!"

Later, Shikhar shared a story on his Instagram account which saw players sweating out on the field. "Log chaiyeh jitna bhi bol le mehnat karne se kabhie nahi rok saktey," the caption on the story read.

In the six innings Dhawan played, he scored 23, 17, 35, 44, 26 and 13. Indian opening pair was supportive only in the third Test which India won. Shikhar along with his opening partner KL Rahul had managed to put up a 60-run stand in both the innings.
