Sam Curran’s stellar all-round show in the ongoing Test series against India has reportedly impressed the cash-rich franchises of Indian Premier League and now the ball is in Surrey all-rounder’s court whether he wants to throw his hat into auction ring or not.

As per a report published in The Guardian, Royal Challengers Bangalore are understood to have flagged up Curran as a possible target for 2019. All-rounders are seen as the most valuable commodities among the T20 franchises all over the world.

With two half-centuries in three Tests, Curran has proved to be the nightmare for Indian bowlers this series. While the southpaw was Player of the Match in the first Test at Edgbaston for his 87 runs and 5 wickets in the match, he once again proved his worth in the fourth Test by scoring 78 runs in the first innings when England were reeling at 86/6.

Things will also depend on Curran’s goals and whether he is able to break into England’s scheme of things for next year’s World Cup. The IPL 2019 is slated to be held from March 29 to May 19 but players of England’s ODI side will be heading home at the end of April as they are scheduled to play white-ball cricket against Pakistan from May 5.

Moreover, England already have a left-arm all-rounder in David Willey. However, it is learnt that the team management is impressed with Curran’s temperament, having seen him making his ODI debut against Australia at Old Trafford in June.
