ENG v IND 2018: Vinod Kambli couldn't resist making a pun after Alastair Cook's dismissal

Cook got dismissed on a cheap score once again in this series.

Alastair Cook is going through a lean patch in his career. In the first three matches, the southpaw scored 13,0, 21, 29 and 17. His failure continued in Southampton as well.

When England was struggling to get out of the clutch of Indian bowlers, they needed their veteran opener to come in rescue. He did manage to put up a fight and was looking better than his previous five innings in this series.

But, an awful attempt to go for a shot on a wide delivery from Hardik Pandya ended his 54-ball fight. He was sent back on 17 and that left England 4 down on just 36 runs.

Just after Cook took a walk back to pavilion, former Indian left-handed batsman Vinod Kambli unleashed his 'Punny' side. He tried to roast the former England captain with his tweet using a pun which read, "Cook Cook Cook Cook Cook Cook Cook Cook!! Seems like he wanted to “Cook” England boys a meal before Lunch. ENGvsIND."

On the first day of the fourth Test, India bowled first after Virat Kohli lost the toss fourth consecutive times in this series. However, it doesn't matter as they were spot on in proving Joe Root's decision to bat first wrong.

At one stage, England was six-wicket down on just 86. But a partnership between Sam Curran and Moeen Ali revived them. An 81-run long stand between the two lower order batsman helped them stretch England's innings to 246. Curran was the last man to be dismissed. He scored 78 and Ali added 40 runs to become England highest and second highest scorer in first innings, respectively.
