ENG v IND 2018: WATCH – Hardik Pandya’s name goes up on the Trent Bridge honor’s board for his 5/28

Hardik Pandya picked five wickets in a span of 29 balls.

Hardik Pandya walks off with the match ball after picking 5/28 | GettyTeam India currently find themselves at the top in the ongoing third Test against England at Trent Bridge. A big reason for that is the sublime century by Indian captain Virat Kohli (103) in addition to his first innings’ 97 and fifties from Cheteshwar Pujara and Hardik Pandya.

But the match has turned out to be a special one for Pandya, who picked up his maiden five-wicket haul, which helped India bowl out England for just 161 runs and handed India a lead of 168 runs. Pandya picked his five wickets in a single spell of 29 balls and rendered the England batting toothless.

Pandya also scored a run-a-ball unbeaten 52 runs and joined an elite list of Indian all-rounders to score fifty and take a five-wicket haul in the same Test match in England. He joined the likes of Lala Amarnath, Vinoo Mankad, Kapil Dev, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (twice) in achieving this feat.

Hardik Pandya’s name went up on the honor’s board at the Trent Bridge ground and BCCI put up a special video of Hardik Pandya talking about his feelings on seeing his name on the honor’s board.
