"Trying to change a whole lot in middle of the series, would not be a good idea", says Rohit Sharma.

Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has agreed with Sunil Gavaskar’s opinion that Virat Kohli and his men should have more practice matches for the ongoing five-match Test series in England.

So far in the Test series, Team India had only warm-up before their Test matches despite having a lot of time before the match and Gavaskar highly criticized the players for their attitude.

Now, India are training 0-2 in the Test series and set to play England in the third Test at Trent Bridge on Saturday (18 August) and the 31-year-old right-hander believes the lack of preparation can be one of the factors behind India’s poor batting display at tough English conditions.

As per reports in India Today, Rohit, who was ignored for the first three Tests, said, “You have to prepare for the conditions and the best preparation you can have is by going to that particular country and playing as many matches and have as many practice sessions as possible.”

He further added, “It cannot happen because we get few days to prepare for a series. But whatever time you get, be it in Mumbai or Australia or England, you try and prepare to the conditions accordingly.”

Rohit signed off by saying that the Indian batsmen have to counter-attack the English bowlers as soon as during the match if they want to be in the ongoing Test series.
