ENG v IND 2018: Injury scare for Team India before the 3rd Test at Trent Bridge

India trails 0-2 in the five-match Tests series against England.

Team India is preparing for the third Test against England of the five-match series at Trent Bridge, Nottingham. Team India is 0-2 down in the Test series and needs to win or draw this Test to stay alive in the Test series.

Now it has been reported according to Cricbuzz.com, that Team India has had an injury to one of its key players ahead of the third Test, as wicketkeeper Dinesh Karthik has suffered an injury to his finger.

Harsha Bhogle speaking to Cricbuzz.com, mentioned, “We are seeing a lot of Rishabh Pant here actually. With Dinesh Karthik, I don’t know if the finger injury is hurting as well. But Pant is looking in the thick of the things."

Rishabh Pant is in line to make his Test debut for India | GettyKarthik has not been very good with the bat in the Test series with two ducks to his name and reports indicated that young Rishabh Pant was in line to replace him and make his Test debut.

Pant impressed everyone on India A tour to England and has been preparing with both the bat and gloves before the third Test match.

If Karthik is injured, he joins a list of few other Indian cricketers who are injured such as Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Wriddhiman Saha.
