Ben Stokes was added to England's squad for the Third Test against India at Trent Bridge in Nottingham, after he was found not guilty of affray by the jury in the Bristol brawl trial.

England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirmed the addition of Stokes in the Test squad, but it remains to be seen whether Stokes and Alex Hales will receive any sanctions from the board for their involvement in the brawl last September.

"Now that the legal proceedings have concluded, the disciplinary process for Ben Stokes and Alex Hales can be scheduled by the Cricket Discipline Commission [CDC],"

"Ben Stokes will now join the England squad for the 3rd Specsavers Test against India, which starts at Trent Bridge on Saturday. Considerable detail has been heard in this week-long court case and, in due course, there will be a range of matters for the Board to fully consider." said the ECB in a media release

Both the cricketers were found partying late into the night in the middle of the ODI series against Windies, something that could mean sanctions could be imposed even though Ben Stokes has already missed the Australian tour.
