On a pitch where every Indian batsman failed, Harbhajan Singh doesn't seem too happy with Hardik Pandya's performance.

Bhajji is of the view that, being a specialist all-rounder in the team, Pandya should deliver more than what he is doing. His figures in the Lord's Test doesn't seem to do any justice to his selection.

Pandya scored 11 and 26 in the two innings and took 3 wickets in the Test match which unfortunately wasn't enough for his team's cause. Harbhajan is unhappy with Pandya more because he isnt delivering the runs that he is expected off at the international level.

With India's eternal search for a proper all-rounder still on, Pandya is just giving glimpses of his promises but is not attaining consistency.

Pandya's contribution so far are nowhere close to what Sam Curran's was in the first  Test of Woakes in the second.   In four innings, India’s all-rounder has picked only 3 wickets and scored 90 runs. Sam Curran alone won the game with his key contributions for England at Edgbaston and then Chris Woakes went on to make the difference in his comeback game at Lord’s.

“He (Pandya) hasn’t got many runs as a batsman and the captain doesn’t seem to have confidence in his bowling. If he doesn’t bowl in these conditions then things will only get difficult for him and the Indian team in the future,” he was quoted as saying by India Today.

Harbhajan even was critical of Pandya's tag as an all rounder which he thought should be removed from his name.  “We have to remove the all-rounder tag from him as an all-rounder contributes in both the departments as (Ben) Stokes, (Sam) Curran did in the first Test and now (Chris) Woakes has done at the Lord’s. The same is expected of Hardik Pandya, he cannot become Kapil Dev overnight!” the 38-year-old said.
