ENG v IND 2018: Waqar Younis backs India for comeback in Test series despite Lord's defeat

England are 2-0 up in the series.

England gets praise from Waqar Younis for their incredible show against India.

Former Pakistan skipper Waqar Younis is confident that the struggling Indian Cricket Team will bounce back in the ongoing five-match Test series in England.

However, India hasn’t shown great fight against England and continuously struggling with the bat in the Test series. However, Younis believes that Virat Kohli and his brigade have the capacity to bounce in the series, saying he can’t “write off India as yet”.

Meanwhile, the greatest fast-bowler of all-time also lauded Joe Root-led England Team for their brilliant performance against the No.1 ranked Test side, impressed the way the hosts outclassed India.

Noteworthy, India defeated by England in both Tests and their defeat at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground was hard to believe, faced a humiliating defeat by an innings and 159 runs and now they have to win Nottingham Test on 18 August to stay alive in the Test series.

Although, Waqar believes that India will bounce back in the series in the next game and will show great fight in the third Test at Trent Bridge against England.

Following the Lord’s Test, Waqar took his Twitter handle to praise England for their incredible performance against India, as well as, expressed his faith on the Indian Team’s capacity.

He tweeted, “Incredible performance by England at #Lords Simply too good..They outclassed India..but im not writing off India as yet..They have the capacity and the capability to bounce back..Still plenty left in this series #ENGvsIND”
