The number one ranked Test side led by Virat Kohli is currently facing tough time both on and off the field following their humiliating defeat at Lord’s, as Indian Team has been continually receiving heavy criticism from media, to fans and former Indian greats for their poor display against England.

India has already lost two Tests from the five-match Test series and their defeat in the second Test didn’t really go well with the fans and former Indian cricketers, as India’s total was 107 and 130 in the two innings which highlights the struggle of batters against a dominating England bowling line up.

Indian batters drastically failed to counter the English bowlers and it is really the biggest concern for Virat Kohli at the moment. Now, India has to win the third Test to be played at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham from 18 August, to stay alive in the Pataudi Trophy.

Following the humiliating defeat of Kohli and his team at Lord’s, Mail Today has termed India's show as a “humiliating defeat”, The Times of India’s headline reads: “India turn paupers at Lord's” and The Hindu newspaper's headline reads: “Another abysmal batting display sends India to its doom” while Hindustan Times headline reads: “India shamed at Lord's as batsmen surrender again.”

Recently, Virender Sehwag, Mohammad Kaif, VVS Laxman and Harsha Bhogle also expressed their views on India’s humiliating Lord’s defeat on the social media, slammed India for their "abysmal batting".

On the other hand, Sachin Tendulkar lauded England for their all-round display and hoping to see better performance from Kohli and his team in the third Test in Nottingham.
