ENG v IND 2018: Murali Vijay gets roasted mercilessly by Twitterati after scoring a pair at Lord's

Murali Vijay's failures in the first two Tests against England has become a headache for team management.

Murali Vijay gets his stumps demolished by James Anderson in 1st innings at Lord's | GETTY

Indian fans are too emotional about cricket. No one is exempted from the criticism and Murali Vijay had to face harsh words of Indian fans on social media.

Murali Vijay was supposed to repeat his performance of 2014 series against England in this series too. He was the highest run-getter for the Indian team in the 2014 series and much was expected from him.

However, he failed to deliver in the first two Tests and things have become more embarrassing for him, as he bagged a pair in the second Test at the home of cricket, Lord's.

In both the innings, Murali was hunted down by the English bowling spearhead James Anderson. He could only face 13 balls in the whole match.

The fire was fanned when England thrashed India by an innings and 159 runs at Lord's to go 2-0 up in the series. India will have to win all the remaining matches to win the series, which looks highly unlikely considering their struggle in English condition.

Here is how Twitter reacted:
