Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli has asked fans to support all the Indian players in the on-going Test series against England. The players are going through a rough patch and need fans to be a little less harsh on them.

Kohli lauded his team members for their dedication and hard work while addressing a gathering at a special reception hosted by the Indian High Commissioner to the UK Y K Sinha at his London residence on August 7.

"We as a team love playing with each other and play with a lot of passion. I would just say to the fans to support the whole team because we all are giving our best efforts and we all want to win together," said Kohli. "It's not about individuals or one or two players, it's about Team India together and that's the passion everyone should carry off the field as well," he added.

The Indian team interacted with the senior diplomats, business chiefs, and politicians. "It is always wonderful to come to London and interact with people who love the game", the 29-year-old said.

India lost the first Test by 31 runs but the high commissioner Y K Sinha said they are not lacking confidence before the 2nd Test.

"The whole team has played very well. We lost (the first Test), but we lost narrowly. And, I am confident that at Lord's, the Mecca of Cricket, we will win and go on to win the series," said Sinha, praising Kohli as the "greatest batsman in the world".

After winning T20Is and losing the ODI series, Virat would be looking to end this UK tour on a good note by a decent performance in the Test series. He already has better his personal record, but what matters the most is how India performs under him on the foreign soil.
