Virat Kohli played a knock not just to save India from humiliation, but to answer all those who doubted his ability as a Test batsman in English conditions. On his way to the maiden Test century in England, Virat saw wickets falling in clusters more than one time.

The 29-year-old still managed to hold one end and made sure the game doesn't slip away in the first innings itself. It was a class innings with a little bit of luck initially.

Virat hit 22 boundaries and a six during his 225-ball 149 knock. He was lauded by the greats of the game all across the world.

Former England cricketer Kevin Pietersen took Twitter to crown the king. He wrote, "Virat is The King!". He really is. The way Indian skipper is thrashing bowlers these days high time people should accept he is ruling the cricket world currently and the title of a king is not an overstatement.
