India was five down on just 100 runs and Kohli had a task in his hand to minimize the deficit that too with the tail-enders. With James Anderson and Ben Stokes bowling in tandem and spitting venom from both ends, it was never going to easy for the Indian captain. But he still managed to milk runs for the last two wickets.

At one stage, India were 7 down on just 169 but the team still managed to score 274 because of just one man, Virat Kohli.

The 29-year-old was lauded by the Edgbaston crowd after being jeered by them. The beautiful thing was Anushka Sharma's presence during the special hundred. She stood up and clapped for the Indian star which is now all over the social media. Even Virat kissed the pendant which he usually does after a good innings as a tribute to his wife.
