ENG vs IND 2018: WATCH Cheteshwar Pujara contributing to the team's cause despite not being selected

Ever since Indian Captain Virat Kohli announced India's playing XI for the first Test in Edgbaston, there have been huge debates around the cricketing circle about the non-selection of Cheteshwar Pujara in the lineup. Under Virat Kohli, India tends to believe in current form a lot and dropping Pujara, who has been in some really disappointing form across his long county stint for Yorkshire leading up to this game, is a move born straight of that thought.

Instead, the team management decided to go for KL Rahul, who on the other hand amassed a lot of runs in the IPL, he smashed a century in the first T20I in Manchester, looked smooth against Essex and the wise people around understand that Rahul is just the player India must back when playing overseas.

But, none of this stopped Pujara from still contributing to the team's cause.

Being the extremely lovable nice guy that he is, Pujara was seen helping other batsmen by giving them throw downs in the practise session ahead of the start of second day's play on Thursday, August 2.

Former Indian Cricketer and commentator Sanjay Manjrekar shared a video of Pujara giving throwdowns to opener Murli Vijay before play.

Sanjay captioned this video with, "This is what team sport teaches you. Pujara not playing, but making sure that M Vijay gets the best possible preparation before he goes into bat.#INDvENG #SonyLiv"
